Bonsai trees are self contained in a pot. Therefore, they need extra special care and attention to assure that they are getting the nutrients that they need. However, they can be over fed and over watered which is equally as damaging and may kill the tree.

Bonsai trees need a very special diet including plenty of water and a nutrient mixture of nitrogen, phosphates and potassium. They also need vitamins and minerals to flourish.

A great way to provide nutrients to your Bonsai tree quickly is to spray the leaves, ideally, when the temperature is below 85 degrees. This will help the leaves absorb the nutrients.

Another great way to give your tree nutrients are in pill or tablet form. Place the pill in the soil and water will dilute it into the soil and the roots of the tree will absorb them.

There are some variables to consider before deciding on the type of nutrients to use. You need to consider the age of the tree, the size and type of tree, when the tree was last repotted, the drainage and the type of root system.

You may need to try different nutrients and experiment with a variety of combinations. If you notice spotted leaves or droopy flowers, you will know that there is something wrong.

The time of year should be taken into consideration. During the growing season, the tree will need more nutrients. You may want to experiment and start with low dosages so that you don’t over do it and kill the tree.

Typically, the tree should be fed every 2 to 4 weeks. Bonsai trees need to direct sunlight as well as adequate but not too much water. Remember to regularly fertilize the tree and to trim and prune it for regrowth. Look for any type of bugs including spider mites which could kill the tree. Also, it is very important to repot the tree every 2-3 years.

Make sure you have enough information so that you are able to make decisions about the type of fertilizer and container it needs. and old. Before you get your own new canine friend, there are some things that you
should know, just general facts that can boost your dog knowledge and make you a better
pet owner.

All dogs, no matter how cute and cuddly, were at one time predators in the wild. Dogs
still have some of this in their nature, no matter how much you pet them and love them,
they could at one time turn on you or someone you love. Not to say that dogs are bad, but
this is something that every dog owner should know ahead of time.

Each individual breed of dog has its own unique personality traits and features, so it
would benefit you to do your homework well, when looking for your own perfect dog. If
you are someone who does not have a lot of patience and does not like a lot of noise, then
odds are you don’t want to get one of the small dogs that seem to have boundless energy
and likes to yip all of the time. If you want a loving, loyal dog, then you might want to
think about going with a Golden Retriever or Collie, but again, it is your ultimate choice
to make. The important thing is that you keep in mind your own personality traits when
choosing a dog, to make certain you choose a breed that you can likely get along well
with.

If you have children in the family, you need to be extra careful. No matter what you have
heard about dogs, some of them just can’t deny their violent predatory nature. When
choosing a dog that will be around your children, you want to make certain you pick one

When you decide to add a dog into your family, you should not just choose the one that
you think is the prettiest or cutest. You need to remember that all dogs have the potential
to be aggressive predators, and choose the dog that will be the best fit for your home and
family. Once you have chosen the dog you want, you still have an uphill battle, because
you have to learn how to care for him properly.

It is important that the tree have a sense of balance in the container to enhance its beauty and symmetry. If all of the elements work together the tree in the container will resemble a work of art.

But, there are practical considerations that are first and foremost.

The pot size must be able to support the weight of the tree so that it does not fall or tip over. Bonsai trees are generally displayed on mantles or tables so make sure the tree is balanced in the container and is not top heavy, so that it could easily tip over.

Consider the overall style of the tree and what container would compliment it. Make sure the container works with the overall flow of the tree. If the tree has been designed to cascade make sure the container will support and allow this so that the tree can dip below the lip of the container.

If you use a pot that is too small, the tree may be at risk for falling over. Bonsai trees are very fragile, so the container that you choose, must be selected with care.

Also, consider how much soil you can place in the pot and the size of the tree. You will need to assure that the tree can grow comfortably in a two year span. After two years, you will need to repot the plant and trim the roots.

To allow for drainage or spill over, make sure you have a hole in the bottom of the container with a screen. Make sure that the screen holes are large enough to allow drainage and prevent clogging.

The tray underneath the container is for over flow. If you under water the tree it could kill it. Make sure the tray fits the container and that it is not too shallow or wide. You may need to drain the tray periodically. It is not a good idea to have the Bonsai soaking in water as that could also kill it.

The container may also depend on the type of tree. Fruit and floral trees can tolerate more water so, it is best if the container allows for some over flow of water. The pine and Juniper trees prefer a dry period, so make sure they are not floating in water.

So make sure you have enough information to make an educated decision about the type of tree and the best container for it. Some trees live to be 200 years old.

At some point in time, if you have children, they will sooner or later ask you for a dog. While you may not like the idea of having yet another person in the family dependent
upon you for care, studies show that pets can be really great for children, provided you
choose the right type of pet. You should know that almost all dogs have a predatory
nature and that no matter how loving and tame they seem to be, that nature is still there

Children love to have friends and companions, and dogs seem to be able to fulfill that
role pretty easily. It is best to get a puppy, so that your children and the dog can grow
together, forming that bond that goes on for years to come.

When we started looking at dogs more as pets, rather than guards, breeders started
looking for ways to lessen their natural predatory nature. The end result was several dog
breeds that were loving and patient with children, particularly young children who like to
pull tails and hair. Still, they should undergo obedience training, just to be on the safe
side, especially if you are going to trust them with your young children. There are many
great dogs out there, such as the Golden Retriever, that make great pets and companions
for young children, since they rarely strike back when children play a little on the rough
side, as they are known to do now and then.

Keep in mind your child’s personality when choosing a dog as well. If your child loves to
play outdoors and has a lot of energy, then you should look for a dog that will be able to
keep up, and that will enjoy it. If your child is calmer, preferring to sit indoors with a
book rather than run and play outside, then you should look for a larger, typically calmer
dog.

There are many great breeds that are suitable for children, the thing is finding them, and
doing your homework to make the best possible choice for your child. Regardless of what
breed of dog you settle on, you really should plan to get that dog trained by a professional
trainer, who is used to training dogs to be around young children, just as an extra safety
precaution.

Remember the two t’s when looking for a dog for your children, training and
temperament. Don’t forget that this dog will likely become your child’s best friend,
maybe even spending more time with your child than you do, so you need to be
comfortable knowing that the dog you choose won’t turn on your child. Many children
are mauled each year by dogs that haven’t had the proper training, or breeds, such as Pit
Bulls, that have no business being around children being let in the home. Don’t allow
your child to be the next one that we hear about on the evening news!
